!  Being a semi-daily place for scraps.... March Scraps

26 The Jeffrey Q Terwilligator X Memorial Garden and a Link that Makes Me Laugh and Cry.

Last night I did a new boy-bonding thing - spent 5 hours stuffing myself silly and drinking (well, that's not new) and playing poker with 5 other lads at the home of Jeffrey Q. Terwilligator "X" (The funkiest, most revolutionary white-man ever!). Turns out I'm ok at poker...

Or they suck.. but in a dollar-limit series of games that got silly (booze makes guys think wild-cards are macho -- by the end we were playing "acey-deucey, odd cards wild, 4 buys another card with re-ante, one-eyed jacks wild, baseball: Deal eight cards, discard four to the guy on the right." It took longer to figure out who had won then it took to play the hands) I made a bit over 50 bucks.

This purchased my drinks for the evening as well as leaving me with money this morning. As I fondly contemplated the prospect of beers for breakfast, the POSSLQ spluttered, through the crusted chocolate-donut frosting coating her face, "isn't it time you did something in the back yard?" I put aside fantasies that involved me in the backyard shoveling dirt onto the POSSLQ and instead decided to begin my vegetable garden.

The Terwilligator X $50.00 helped me turn the left into the right (doesn't look like much, but wait til it starts to grow - three tomato plants, a cucumber plant, red and white onions, basil, oregano, rosemary and a hot-pepper -- some soil amendment and fertilizer)

then there's this:

Which comes from some Aryan moron site here: idjits.

Like I said up top.. I find it funny.... a smiley Adolf is so...counterintuitive... that it is funny on the face of it.

But sad also.. some idiots believe he wasn't and evil mass murderer.

Where do these people come from?

24 Doctor, Doctor Please!

Oh the mess I'm in!

Sometimes things are murky. Sometimes things are crystal clear. In either case there aren't usually conclusions you can draw or directions you can confidently take... you can be equally confused by peering into a Sargasso Sea or confused by an overdose of facts.

You can be clear (pace Scientologists)... clear like a sunny day, or clear like the moment that something important slides off a table onto the floor - you can see the container falling, it's contents spilling over the top like a small wave dancing tides to a moon you can't see.

You can be murky... murky like a White Russian or murky in the sense that nothing makes any sense because all of life seems out there behind some fog. And behind the fog of life lies another layer of fog that nothing passes back from.

So this is why I'm sitting at home ignoring all the cleaning I have to do?

Yeesh, I'm lame.

Off to get the vacuum and clear some of this murk up.....

23 The Lies must end!

It's a small thing, but I have another outstanding spammer name: "Triceratopses H. Ionize" r3Wlz!

What he rules is unclear.. but great name...

4 The Lies of The Church of Me

Holy effing God. Last month I promised I would be a good scrapper. Then (Aha! Here comes the blame laying and ritual abegnation of responsibility -- it's almost Church-like in its predictability) my POSSLQ got all banged up while playing NASCAR out on 680. That's a dangerous game for someone with the peripheral vision of a glaucomic bat smacking a window at midday and the reaction time of a brick of mud. POSSLQ did not get the champagne bath from the busty chick at the flag. So, you know, I was doing a little of this and a lot of that.

Still... I now have a backlog of sh*t to put up here if I ever get around to it. I think I will start kitty-blogging on Fridays and perhaps podding on Sundays...

In the meantime - if you are pissed off at all.. if you even remember when you were pissed off.. if you can look past your 2.5 children, the Pergo floor, and how expensive it is to fix the Volvo, then you can think back to when you liked music that doesn't include flutes, electric violins, and "radical transgressions against the typical structure of the a capella genre" ... if you can think back that far you might just want to check out...

It reminds me of Husker Du's Zen Arcade although Green Day are much simpler musically. Killer sh*t and I'm looking around on Green Day's website to see if there is a way to pay them for the songs I've downloaded. I'll be triply f*cked by a fire hydrant before I'll pay anymore to the useless f*cks at a record label.

Testy?

Look lower.....
