Rates are largely dependent on the kind and level of editing needed. I do require a sample of the work to be translated before making a quote. However, here are some general guidelines for my rates:

Advanced Editing
For special reference or technical books in which particular critical language and/or structure are required:

Cost: Minimum $0.02 a word
I prefer manuscripts in Word or RTF format. If there is enough time, editing can be done on a hard-copy ofyour work.
For projects of any size and any degree of copyediting service, the following payment structure is strictly applied after we have discussed editing and payment options:
If a flat fee for has been negotiated, the same schedule applies: 1/3 up front, 1/3 before the second third of the project is completed, and the final third upon completion, before it is delivered.
Types of Payment Accepted:
For most clients, payment is made directly to my bank account; a certified check or a money order (in US $$ only) is also accepted.
